Scenic route with historic tunnels and river views, ideal for hiking and nature watching.
This out-and-back route begins at the Liédena town hall and leads to the Lumbier gorge. The route circles the village of Liédena and follows a track under the Pyrenean motorway, then runs parallel to the Irati River to the first tunnel at the entrance of the Lumbier gorge. The trail continues through the gorge and passes through a second tunnel. These tunnels were originally built for the old Irati railway line. After exiting the final tunnel, the route returns to the starting point along the same path.
