The trail follows the river and passes a historic sawmill, making it an ideal choice for nature and history enthusiasts.
The route begins at the Medieval Bridge of Auzola in the village of Agoitz/Aoiz. It runs parallel to the Irati River, descending toward the village of Ekai de Longida. The path crosses the Ekai Sawmill site, which housed a large facility in the early 20th century to process wood transported down the Irati River. After passing the sawmill, the route joins the Irati Nature Trail.
