URDINA is the ‘blue trail’ linking Yesa, Javier, Sangüesa, Cáseda and Gallipienzo, inviting you to discover, enjoy and preserve the surroundings of the River Aragón, on foot or by bike. The route is 30.72 kilometres long. The route takes you through an area of great natural value, linked to the ‘Middle Section of the River Aragón’ Special Area of Conservation (SAC), which forms part of the Natura 2000 network. An area of great biodiversity where the river, its riverside forests and the species that inhabit them take centre stage in the landscape. From Yesa, with its reservoir known as the ‘Sea of the Pyrenees’ and its floating platform, the route heads towards Javier, where the Mirador del Papa and the Molinaz invite visitors to take in the river landscape and discover the history of the place. In Sangüesa, the Monrealico boat serves as a reminder of the confluence of the rivers Aragón and Irati, whilst the Cantolagua promenade offers a place to unwind by the water. The route continues towards Cáseda, where the Jardín de las Ánades and its medieval bridge allow you to enjoy nature and sense the history that surrounds the river. Finally, the route reaches the Gallipienzo Bridge, bringing to a close a journey through river landscapes, biodiversity and heritage.
